The name of the village, whose original name is thought to be "kirkince" or "ugly", comes from the forty people who hit the mountain, or the masters of the slaves who wanted to free themselves. Is it a nice place to settle? Although there are legends that it was created by people saying "it's ugly" when asked, it is not certain which one is true.&nbsp;The village was known as a Greek town with 1800 households in the 19th century, famous for its fig production, especially for export. After the Greeks left as a result of the Türkiye-Greece population exchange in 1923, it was settled with exchanged people from Kavala's Müştiyan (Moustheni) and Somokol (Domatia) villages. The economy of the village, which was previously based on viticulture, wine production and olive cultivation, was disrupted for a while at the hands of new residents coming from a tobacco region, but in parallel with its increasing touristic importance in recent years, these sectors have started to develop again. In addition to viticulture and olive cultivation, peaches, figs, apples and walnuts are grown.The Greek houses and cliques in the village are especially worth seeing, and do not forget to taste the unique fruit wines.

Sirince Village

Agora in Izmir, Turkey's third largest city with a population of 4.1 million, is one of the places worth seeing. Didim

According to legend, ancient Didyma was once the home of Apollo, brother of Artemis and son of the god father Zeus. The Temple of Apollo, known as the third largest temple of ancient times, was built in his honor more than 2,000 years ago. It is the most famous view in Didim. This site was once considered the most important oracle after the Oracle of Delphi.Even today, the well-preserved ruins tell the story of bygone times as you wander through the Ionic-style Hellenistic temple and discover numerous landmarks, such as the head of Medusa carved in stone. The magnificent temple is located just minutes from the city center and it is best to hop on one of the local buses or take a 30-minute walk to the ancient overlook.Didyma, home to the breathtaking Temple of Apollo. The theater is 150 meters long and 30 meters high and probably dates to the 4th century BC. During your visit, you have the opportunity to climb the wide stone steps of the amphitheater and view its incredible size from above. You can also enjoy the magnificent view surrounding Miletus. Another important point of the city is the Faustina Baths, which were used by Roman Emperor Marcus Avrelius and his family to relax. However, in mythology, it is believed that Dionysus was born or grew up here. We get the most detailed information about the city from Strabon. The city was built on both sides of a very fast flowing stream and there were 3 bridges connecting the city and it is still possible to see the ruins of these bridges today. One of these bridges is the largest bridge after the Bergama bridge. You can also see the theater with a capacity of 10,000 people, the agora and the best preserved library of Anatolia after the library of Ephesus.&nbsp;The ancient city of Nysa also has an important place in terms of Christian history. More than one known bishop emerged from the ancient city of Nysa.

Aydın

According to legend, the city was founded by magnets coming from Thessaly. Although the exact place where the city was first founded is not known, it dates back to B.C. It was moved to its current location by Thibron between 400-399, on the Söke- Ortaklar highway, 4 km away from Ortaklar.The ancient city of Magnesia, according to Strabo; It has the largest temple in Anatolia after the Temple of Apollo in Didim and the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus.&nbsp;&nbsp;It became an important trade center between Magnesia, Ephesus, Trielles and Priene. It will fascinate you with its magnificent stadium where the whole ancient Greek world gathers for the festival called Leucophryna, which is held every 4 years.Magnesia was annexed to the Roman Empire after Pergamon was captured by the Roman Empire, and traces of Roman architecture can be seen in its buildings dating back to the 13th century.

The fact that Pamukkale is on the road makes it easier to visit the city.Excavations show that the history of the city dates back to 5000 BC. The excavations of the city continue and many artifacts have been found and exhibited in the museum.&nbsp;What makes Aphrodisias important is that it was built largely of marble, from the young Hellenistic period to the Roman period and later to the Byzantine period, and its reliefs and inscriptions have been well preserved until today. Many marble sculpture masters who grew up in Aphordisias spread their fame throughout the Mediterranean basin and Roman lands during the Roman period.&nbsp;The marble structure of the city and the Aprhodite statues from which it takes its name are definitely worth seeing.The city was included in the world cultural heritage list in 2017.
